My trainer and I were invited to be a part of the FIS Ski World Cup in Bad Kleinkirchheim, about 45 minutes from my hometown Klagenfurt. It was the downhill womens competition and it is just impressive what these women accomplish. The favorite and leading women Lindsey Vonn from the USA did not have her best day and only finished 3rd. But it was a successfull day for Austrian Elisabeth Goergl who showed an awesome performance and managed to win this downhill race. In the VIP area I also met Franz Klammer (AUT) one of the legends in this sport and Fritz Strobl, former Olympic champion.

“It was really cool to be a part of this event and it is amazing what these women accomplish by racing down the hill with close to 70 miles per hour”!
