As you may already know, a new GB pool federation was recently formed under the leadership of Richard Jones and his team of committee members. The federation will be known as the British Pool Federation (BPF).

GB9 Form Partnership with British Pool Federation

GB9 are honoured to be a partner of the BPF and we look forward to working with them on behalf of the American pool playing community throughout Great Britain.

GB9 encourages all of its players to join the BPF as we feel that with everyone’s support they will provide the infrastructure for American pool to grow and develop over the coming years.

Richard Jones, President of the BPF says “For many years now Britain has had no federation in pool and, while we certainly have some of the best players in Europe (if not the world), we are as a pool playing community some ways behind others.

I have been able to see firsthand just what a National Federation can bring to its players; regular expenses paid tournaments, national leagues, development of a youth structure etc. Of course it is very early days, but I’m sure we can achieve so much with the British Pool Federation.

We have a great base for pool here in the UK and it’s a great pleasure that we (BPF) will also be working alongside GB9.

GB9 has been firmly established as the number one tour in the UK and I’m very confident that if we can all pull together in the same direction, then there is no limit as to what we can achieve as a pool playing nation. I hope that you the players will all join us on our journey to making Britain a major force in the pool world.”

The BPF will be holding an open meeting at the next GB9 tour stop on July 13 to which everyone is invited to attend to ask any questions that they may have. They will be announcing more details about this in due course.
