The Scorpion Cues Johnny Archer Classic is hosting a Women’s Open and a Sunday One Day Pro-Am tournament on October 13th and 14th. The main pro event will still take place over the 3 day weekend. With an all star cast of international billiards stars coming from China, Philippines, Germany, and all around the USA, the event is going to be one of the biggest events of the year in the southeast as well as the largest in Georgia. Dragon Promotions, in conjunction with the Marietta Billiard Club, will be producing the Scorpion Cues Johnny Archer Classic on October 12th-14th, 2012. Only 3 spots remain open in the 64 player field. The Scorpion Cues Johnny Archer Classic is sanctioned by the Association Of Billiard Professionals as an ABP International Points Ranking Tournament.

Ladies can participate both in the Women’s Open and the main pro event for half off entry. Two ladies have already taken advantage of the opportunity including Ohio’s Stephanie Goens and Atlanta’s Dana Aft. They will play in both tournaments. The Women’s Open will be $500 added double elimination tourny and a $50 entry fee limited to 32 women with $500 going to the top winner.

For all the men knocked out of the Archer Classic, and for any who just want to join in for the chance to play some pro players, Sunday October 14th will host a $1000 1st place double elimination 10-Ball tournament open to all players. Amateurs get in for $60 while semi-pros and pros get in for $100.

The event is supported by Fat Boy Productions Co. and Steve Florentino Billiards. Heavy hitter companies are getting behind the event for the first time as well such as Ozone Billiards and Championship Cloth who will be supplying all the tournament tables Tour Edition 3030 cloth. Billiards Digest, Pool & Billiard Magazine, and Inside Pool Magazine are also sponsoring the event.

A who’s who in pool will be there in this highly anticipated event. Top name stars include the likes of Thorsten Hohmann, Shannon Daulton, Rodney Morris, Shane Van Boening, Tommy Kennedy, Warren Kiamco, Charlie Williams, Kim Davenport, Shawn Putnam, Stevie Moore, Justin Hall, Brandon Shuff, Donnie Mills, Adam Smith, and many more.
